Quality and security

Care requires a system.

Quality does not result from a final check alone. It begins with suitable source material, clear requirements, and realistic deadlines. It continues through research, editing, coordination, and review.

Responsible handling of confidential texts and data is equally fundamental. For us, subject-matter diligence, transparent processes, and technical security belong together.

Plan for quality

The requirements determine the review.

Before work begins, we clarify the purpose of the text, the subject and formal requirements, and the checks included in the assignment. An internal working translation needs a different process than instructions for use, a specialist article, or publication-ready marketing copy.

Terminology, house style, reference material, and earlier versions are not merely collected, but assessed for their reliability and suitability for the specific text.

Review systematically

We check more than spelling and grammar. Depending on the assignment, we review completeness, subject-matter plausibility, terminology, consistency, numbers, cross-references, references to figures, and compliance with author, publisher, or corporate requirements.

Software can identify repetitions, discrepancies in numbers, missing segments, or inconsistent spelling. A person must still determine whether a statement is correct, comprehensible, and effective in context.

ISO 17100

Standard or fully compliant.

Triacom is certified for translation services under ISO 17100. The standard sets out requirements for qualifications, project preparation, translation, revision, technical resources, and the handling of feedback.

Many clients need a carefully prepared standard translation that they will continue to process within their own workflows. Full compliance with ISO 17100 additionally includes revision by a second qualified professional and the associated process documentation. This value-added service must be agreed when the quote and schedule are established.

Confidentiality and data security

Texts and supporting material are treated as confidential and made available only to people directly involved in the assignment. Any required nondisclosure agreements are incorporated into project planning.

We protect working data through access restrictions, up-to-date security technology, and regular backups. For particularly sensitive documents, the means of transfer, access, retention, and deletion can be agreed individually. Statutory retention requirements remain unaffected.

Further information about our handling of personal data is provided in our privacy policy.

Tools and responsibility

We use technical and AI-assisted tools where they can provide meaningful support. They can facilitate research, terminology work, and formal checks. Selection, assessment, and final review remain our responsibility.

We do not transfer confidential content to external systems without proper controls. Which tools can be used for a project depends on its content and risks and on the agreements with the client.
